E-passport fee Details

E-passport fee has been finalized! There is no trouble for verifying. On August 1, the Home Ministry's Security Services Department issued a circular regarding e-passport fees. The circular was uploaded on the Home Ministry website on Sunday (August 8th). However, the date for when the e-passport will arrive has not yet been announced.

Fees for applicants in Bangladesh are as follows:

  • 48-page 5-year term
  • General fee is Rs. 3500,
  • Emergency fee is 5500 rupees
  • The emergency fee is Rs. 7500

  • 3-page 5-year term
  • General fee 1 Taka,
  • The emergency fee is 5 bucks
  • The most urgent fee is 1 taka.

  • 64 page 5 year term
  • General fee Rs. 5500,
  • The emergency fee is BDT
  • The emergency fee is BDT

  • 64 page 10 year term
  • General fee is 7000 Taka
  • Emergency fee is 9000 Taka
  • The emergency fee is 12000 Taka.

It will take time to get a passport after applying:

In the case of # new passports:
In the most urgent 3 days,
7 days in an emergency
Within 21 days of applying for a general passport.

Urgent passport in 2 days,
Emergency passport in 3 days
Normal passport in 7 days.

Separate e-passport fees have been fixed for general applicants, workers and students at Bangladesh Embassy abroad. For general applicants at the Bangladesh Embassy abroad

  • 48-page 5-year term
  • The general fee is US $100 and
  • The emergency fee is US$ 150

  • 48-page 10-year term
  • The general fee is US $ 125
  • The emergency fee has been set at US $ 175.

  • 64 page 5 year term
  • The general fee is US $150
  • The emergency fee is US $200

  • 64 page 10 year term
  • The general fee is US $175
  • The emergency fee is US $225.

All you need to do is e-passport
According to the circular, the e-passport application form should be filled according to the National Identity Card (NID) or Birth Registration Certificate (BRC). Applicant who is not an adult (under 18) who does not have National Identity Card (NID), his / her parent's National Identity Number (NID) must be specified.

It also says,
If you have the police clearance along with the application for obtaining urgent passport within the country, if all other information is correct then passport will be issued within 72 hours or three days. If the police clearance with the application for obtaining an emergency passport within the country, if all other information is correct then the passport will be issued within 3 working days.
