Natural gas
Natural gas is an extremely important fossil fuel because it is easy to transport through pipes. Natural gas is stored under high pressure as compressed natural gas (CNG).
CNG is used for power generation. Now it is a fuel for transport cars because it is being used in low pollution. This is a cleaner fuel.
The big advantage of CNG is that it can be used to burn directly. Homes and factories where it can be supplied via pipe. Such a network of pipelines exists in Vadodara (Gujarat), Delhi and parts of other places.
A number of natural gas and chemical fertilizers are used as starting material for production. India has vast reserves of natural gas. In our country, natural gas has been found in Tripura, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Krishna Godavari Delta.
