Japanese Government Monbukagakusho Scholarship for International Students
There are six types of Japanese Government
Monbukagakusho scholarship for research students, teacher training students,
undergraduate university students, Japanese studies students and college of
technology students specially training students.
The applicants who wish to apply for this
scholarship should meet one of the following criteria:
1. They
should be recommended by a Japanese embassy or consulate general (the first is
recommended).
2. They
should be recommended by a Japanese university which will accept them
3. Domestic
Japanese university is preferred than privately financed university for any
student.
The six types of criteria

1. Research
Students.
2. Teacher
Training Students.
3. Undergraduate
students.
4. Japanese
studies students.
5. College
of Technology students.
6. Special
Training College students.
Eligibility for Japanese Government Monbukagakusho
Scholarship:
Research students must be under 35 year’s age and a
college graduate or he have to complete 16 years of schooling. Teacher training
students must be under 35 years of age and a graduate of college or a teacher
training college. He must have at least 5 years of active experiences as a
teacher at any school, college or university in his country. But, currently
active any teacher will not be considered for scholarship. He had to be a
teacher in his past life.
For undergraduate university students, they must be
at least 17 year old and under 22 year old with completing 12 years of
schooling. For Japanese studies students, applicants must be from 18 to 30
years old. Applicants must be enrolled as undergraduate students which major
language is Japanese.
For College of technology students, applicants must
be 17 to 22 year old and have completed school comparable to a high school. And for special Training College students,
they must be at least 17 to 22 years old with 12 years of schooling to a
Japanese high school.
