Our beloved musician Ayub Bacchu, who popularised rock music in Bangladesh alongside his band LRB, has passed away today 18 October, 2018. He was brought in an unconscious state to Dhaka's Square Hospital around 9:51 am on Thursday - said Emergency division nurse Habibur Rahman.
The singer, guitarist, lyricist and composer was a founding member of the band LRB. He was 56 years old. Bachchu suddenly fell ill at his home on Thursday morning, his LRB bandmate Shamim told bdnews24.com. He was then taken to Square Hospital.
He was born on 16 August, 1962 and died 18 October, 2018 at the age of 56. He was a student of Government Muslim High School. Which is located in Chittagong. He started his music career there with the band FEELINGS in 1978. From 1980 to 1990, he was a member of Souls as lead guitarist. In 1991, he formed his own band, LRB.
