The policy of app based transport services approved in the cabinet

The government has approved the policy of app based transportation services in the country. The Cabinet Committee on Monday approved the draft policy of 'Ride Sharing Policy - 2017'

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over this meeting. On 22 November of 2016, the taxi service company formally started their journey through the apps. World's great cricketer all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was the first passenger of Uber taxi in Dhaka. 

Two days later, on November 24, BRTA issued a ban notice on its activities in the country, and BRTA issued warnings on the initiative of the government without the approval of the government. 

This is said to be avoided by government. Otherwise, BRTA has taken a lot of legal action and since BRTA has taken this service to the common people, 

BRTA's decision has been widely discussed and criticized in the social medias. After that, the government started working under this service policy. And many popular services including Chalo, Pathao, My Raid, Moves and Easier started their journey and serving people in the much popularity of Uber too.
